JCA CLEVELAND OHIO

Our Mission

The Jamaican Cultural Association of Cleveland, JCA, was formed in April 2009 as a social club. A group of people saw the need and held a meeting of the minds.

The original group consisted of fifteen people. Since that time our membership has grown and continues to grow. It was about the 3rd meeting that a name was decided on. We focused on inclusion, community and making a difference in the lives of others. As a relatively new club we face obstacles. We plan on overcoming them with dedication and determination to achieve our mission.

JCA mission:

  • To promote and keep the culture alive
  • To be a contributing organization to the community by understanding and providing for the needs of the people
  • We will strive to be responsible for the success of JCA with professionalism and integrity

JCA held its first annual picnic on September 13, 2009 and we look forward to continue this tradition. Since our inception JCA has donated to charitable organizations. JCA plans include but not limited to fundraising events and volunteerism so that our dreams can become realities.

Currently, we are seeking sponsors as we look to expand our presence in the Greater Cleveland area.
